Expert gutter repair in progress

Expert Repairs with 24+ Years Experience

If your gutter is still in good shape but leaking from an endcap or corner, it may be as simple as resealing. If the gutter is sagging, pulling from the house, or rotted, it may need to be replaced. Either way, A&A Seamless Gutters has you covered.

Most gutter problems announce themselves in one of a few ways: water sheeting over the front edge in a storm, a section visibly pulling away from the fascia, staining or peeling paint on the siding below a joint, or water pooling against the foundation near a downspout. Each of those points to a different cause, and the fix is rarely the same one.

Overflow usually means a clog or a run that has lost its pitch, not a gutter that needs replacing. A sagging section is normally a hanger problem or soft fascia behind it. Persistent drips at a corner are a failed sealant joint. We diagnose which of these you actually have before quoting anything, because the cheapest real fix and the most expensive one are often only a few feet apart on the same house.

We repair the damage that water has done to your home, including damaged soffits, fascias, and supporting framing. Water that has been running behind a gutter for a season or two will soften the fascia board, and fastening anything new to that board is wasted work. We repair the substrate first, then install our custom seamless gutters for a complete solution.

Connecticut winters are hard on gutters. Ice dams form when heat escaping the roof melts snow that refreezes at the cold eave, and the weight of that ice is what tears hangers loose and bends the front lip of the gutter down. Storm damage from nor'easters and falling limbs is the other common cause. We handle both, and we can work with your insurance company on storm claims.

Our Process

  1. 01

    Assessment

We inspect the full gutter system to identify all problems — not just the obvious ones. We check slope, hangers, fascia condition, sealant joints, and how water is actually leaving the downspouts.

  2. 02

    Honest Estimate

We explain what needs repair versus replacement and provide a clear, upfront quote. If a reseal and a few new hangers will solve it, that is what we will tell you — we do not quote a full replacement for a problem that does not need one.

  3. 03

    Repair Work

From resealing joints to replacing full sections, our repairs use the same heavy-gauge materials and craftsmanship as our new installations, so the repaired section is not the weak point next season.

  4. 04

    Function Test

After repairs, we test the system with water to ensure proper flow, drainage, and leak-free operation at every joint and connection, then clean up the work area.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you repair just part of my gutter system?

Absolutely. We can replace individual sections, re-seal joints, re-hang sagging areas, or swap damaged downspouts without replacing the entire system.

When should I repair vs. replace?

If your gutters have widespread issues — multiple leaks, extensive rust, or significant sagging across several runs — full replacement is usually more cost-effective. Isolated problems are typically worth repairing.

Do you handle storm damage repairs?

Yes. We provide quick-response repairs for storm damage including fallen gutters, crushed downspouts, and ice-damaged sections. We can also work with your insurance company.

My gutters overflow in heavy rain. Do they need replacing?

Usually not. Overflow is most often a clog, a downspout that is not draining, or a run that has lost its pitch — all repairs. It can also mean the gutters are undersized for the roof, in which case moving from 5-inch to 6-inch is the real fix. We will tell you which one it is.

Why do my gutters keep pulling away from the house?

Nearly always because the fascia board behind them has gone soft from water damage, so the fasteners have nothing solid to hold. Re-hanging them without repairing that board just repeats the problem. This is why we inspect the fascia on every repair call.

How quickly can you come out for storm damage?

We prioritize storm and emergency calls, especially when a gutter is hanging loose or water is being dumped against the foundation. Call 860-881-0585 and we will get you scheduled as fast as we can.
